D’Antoni not planning to change Knicks staff

After a 97-87 loss to the San Antonio Spurs last night, the New York Knicks have guaranteed its ninth straight losing season. Three of those have come under coach Mike D’Antoni but he’s apparently not planning to change his coaching staff one little bit, according to the New York Daily News

Magic coveting Clippers’ Steve Blake?

It’s hard to imagine anybody coveting any player on the 25-39 Los Angeles Clippers right now, but the Orlando Magic is apparently thinking that it would like to add Clips point guard Steve Blake (notes) this summer, according to FanHouse.

Knicks planning for Hawks’ Joe Johnson

The New York Knicks are obviously going to do everything it can to convince LeBron James (notes) to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers and make his way to the city that never sleeps. But the general consensus is that there is no way James will end up with the Knicks unless he’s got some sort of martyr complex. Rockets planning to keep Lowry

Since guard Kyle Lowry (notes) has been out with a hurt ankle, his Houston Rockets have won four games and lost nine. So GM Daryl Morey is apparently saying that he’ll take care of the man who will be a restricted free agent this summer, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Nets forward Yi Jianlian out with sprained ankle (AP)

Forward Yi Jianlian did not accompany the New Jersey Nets on a four-game road trip because of a sprained left ankle. The Nets open the trip in Memphis on Monday night with a game against the Grizzlies. Yi was hurt Saturday night in the first quarter of the Nets' win over the Knicks, their seventh of the season.

Artest pulls a Rodman with his hair

FanHouse.com reports: Ron Artest arrived for Sunday’s nationally televised game with the Magic sporting a new Dennis Rodman-type haircut that will bring considerably more attention to his game. His hair is orange/yellow now, and carved into it is the word DEFENSE but in three different languages — Japanese, Hebrew and Hindu.
