After a 97-87 loss to the San Antonio Spurs last night, the New York Knicks have guaranteed its ninth straight losing season. Three of those have come under coach Mike D’Antoni but he’s apparently not planning to change his coaching staff one little bit, according to the New York Daily News

The New York Knicks are obviously going to do everything it can to convince LeBron James (notes) to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers and make his way to the city that never sleeps. But the general consensus is that there is no way James will end up with the Knicks unless he’s got some sort of martyr complex. Forward Yi Jianlian did not accompany the New Jersey Nets on a four-game road trip because of a sprained left ankle. The Nets open the trip in Memphis on Monday night with a game against the Grizzlies. Yi was hurt Saturday night in the first quarter of the Nets' win over the Knicks, their seventh of the season.
