Zydrunas Ilgauskas (notes) has only been with the Washington Wizards for a few days but it appears he won’t be there for much longer. Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski reports that he could reach agreement on a buyout in the next couple of days.

Shooting guard Von Wafer (notes) has played in the NBA for five different teams after getting picked in the second round of the 2005 draft. He got signed last summer by Olympiakos, the Greek team that is always trying to sign folks away from the NBA (and had success with such folks as Linas Kleiza (notes) and Patrick Beverley (notes) , who was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers last year and then traded to the Miami Heat who sent him overseas). Wafer got tossed by Olympiakos this past December and has a hard time finding an NBA team that will take his services.

Depending on what the 2010-11 salary cap ends up being, the New York Knicks cleared so much room out yesterday before the trading deadline that it is going to have s omewhere between $32 million and $36 million to play with this summer, according to ESPN. That could buy them two front-line players in an offseason that will have plenty of front-line free agents: LeBron James (notes) , Chris Bosh (notes) , Dwyane Wade (notes) , possibly Amar’e Stoudemire (notes) , Raymond Felton (notes) , etc.

All Washington Wizards guard has to do right now is hang out. He’s been given an indefinitely leave by the team since it appears his contract is going to be bought out , according to ESPN. Somehow James and his $6.6 million expiring contract didn’t get dealt before the trading deadline yesterday

A trade between the Indiana Pacers and Charlotte Bobcats that would have sent D.J. Augustin (notes) and others to Charlotte for T.J. Ford (notes) and Brandon Rush (notes) fell apart yesterday , according to ESPN.


Mavs tossed Howard due to partying ways?

The Dallas Mavericks traded Josh Howard (notes) to the Washington Wizards this week and the word is that it had a lot to do with Howard’s off-the-court behavior , according to the Dallas Morning News. Mavs owner Mark Cuban is saying that he wishes Howard all the best but it appears the team is pretty glad to be rid of him.


Rondo not excited by Robinson’s arrival

Boston Celtics guard Rajon Rondo (notes) doesn’t seem too excited that former New York Knicks headache Nate Robinson (notes) will be joining him in New England, according to NBA.com. When Rondo was asked what he thought about the trade, the said, "I don’t know, I don’t know. I hope it’s for the best." He then lamented the loss of guard Eddie House (notes) , who Rondo said could drop 20 or 30 points in a game

Center Zydrunas Ilgauskas (notes) might as well not even unpack his bags. He just got moved from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Washington Wizards as part of the Antawn Jamison (notes) deal and it now appears that he could be moving along from D.C.
